Is Bioware rebooting Command and Conquer?

I dunno watched that trailer and it didn't scream C&C to me.

The trailer also says "a new game" so I dunno, Im not convinced. It would be awesome if C&C could be given the BioWare treatment, maybe that cancelled C&C FPS? Since art from it was released on Kotaku

or maybe they are taking a stab at doing a game ala Alpha Protocol?

yes i keep on banging on about that but let's face it, it would be awesome

Agreed AP had such potential and fell so far short. It would be EPIC if BioWare took a shot at it.

It's a Bioware game (which doesn't seem to be Massive Multiplayer), so I'm excited either way.

I actually liked Alpha Protocol quite a bit... sure it is no Mass Effect, but I found it entertaining anyway. Agreed that with Bioware behind the project, would be great but I suspect that this will be a new IP.

I tried playing it but the mechanics & bugs just killed it for me.

What killed AP for me that it was more convenient just shooting your way through than trying to sneak through. Stealth was very poorly done, imo.

dont EA own the C&C IP ?
They completely butchered it , but still , they own the mess they made.
Unless someone can persuade EA to sell it ..

That's probably why I liked it... I always go in guns blazing. :)
Even in some cases where I do get through everything in stealth mode, I just go "hey, I totally did that in stealth mode"... and then I turn around and go kill the bastards anyway.

Heh, for me, the more stealth I can do, the better. Ever since playing Thief 3, I've been in love with the stealth genre and any games that allowed me to employ stealth tactics. There's a great degree of fun to be had in blasting your way through an area, but it doesn't quite compare with the satisfaction I get of getting in, doing my objective, and getting out without anybody noticing me.
