Is Dante’s Inferno 2 in the works?

Castlevania for me was pretty awesome. Still haven't finished it though, but that's because of SC2 and Skyrim. :/

I won a copy of mygaming and when I play its cool, but there is no keeping power. I dont feel bad for not playing. Where as if I dont play Skyrim for a day my life feels incomplete.

I actually never picked up Dante's Inferno at launch because of the crap reviews. More than a year later I picked up a copy at Musica for R 99 and I ended up loving it.

I can't wait for #2 (if it does get released) and wonder if it will continue the tale into Purgatory like the poem?

Hope they do something about that rope swinging, because fark me that shit is rage inducing.

Otherwise, got the original from BT for a hundred bucks and I actually dig it.

Wouldn't mind a sequel, still going through the first one and finding it pretty enjoyable. That's when I'm bored of Skyrim though :P

How are they gonna do the story. cos i'm pretty sure Dante Alighieri din't write a sequel for divine comedy. Maybe it didn't sell well, wasn't a big hit at the box office in the 1300s

So no one has heard the Not So Devine Drama (Devine Comedy Part Dos)
Seriously, the first game was pretty cool, decent setting and genre usage, overly religious though so got bashed for that
But how the ------- do you make a sequel?
Dante's Inferno 2 - Back Into Hell
Forgive me for pointing this out but that sounds like a Meatloaf Album Tie-In

I wish with all my heart that developers would stop rehashing the same stuff over and over again just to make a buck
Instead of Dante, and if you really do need to stick to the genre and gameplay of the previous title, give us something we haven't seen before, Make it About Pirates, or Create a New SuperHero and Throw him into a Storyline or , well anything really

They could make a game about how Capitalism Killed Creativity, well as long as they don't make it a trilogy

Xero, i had a thought :P Instead of climbing down through the 7 circle's of Hell, you start as a demon and work your way up through the 7 circles, reclaiming your mortality. Same game, different perspective.

What will probably happen is you tunnel your way out and reach the surface only to find yourself next to a Giant Mammoth, and then get stepped on by a Giant. looooool

Love God of War and when i finished the third a friend recommended Dante's Inferno but based by the post above looks like it was a worth skip on my side?

Leezo don't get me wrong, the game is just as enjoyable as God of War III in my opinion, I've played through both and I really enjoyed the Hellish theme of Dante's with the religious twist. These type of games often feel repetitive but I found it refreshing.

i see that i'm not the only one who hated the rope swinging:mad:

Other than that, the game was ok for me.

I for one am really hoping they make a sequel. I loved Dante's Inferno, enjoyed it much more than God of War III. Castlevania is still better though. As far as I know the Divine Comedy consists of three parts/sections? Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso. I have no idea how they would make a game about Purgatory, but the ending of Dante's Inferno pretty much left it wide open for a sequel set there and I'm sure Visceral can come up with something interesting.
