Is it still worth buying BF3

I have a spare copy lying around if you're keen to buy the CD key and just download the gaming files using the net?

Hi,

Is it still worth buying Battlefield 3 (PC)? I'm a noob at these types of games by the way.

Thanks.

The real question is why shouldn't you?

it lacks in single player (if that's why you want to buy it don't )
But makes up for it in multiplayer.

Ohh and if your going to buy it, buy the premium its just so much better. :)

Totally agree there. The multiplayer is just mind-blowing. Having played Battlefield now and then ever since the second installment (BF2) I truly believe this to be one of the games that offer the best possible multiplayer experiences. Much better than any CoD game.

Origin had it at quite a good price iirc. I will be getting it, possibly tonight, and downloading it. Hopefully not too big, as I am on a capped account. May have to call in a 2-for-1 with Afrihost :D

I've had 217 hours of Mind-Blowing fun...
It's definitely worth getting, since you'll invest a large amount of time on the game.

Many newcomers almost daily hitting the battlefield.

Friend if mine was telling me a playing partner of his has clocked up almost 700 hours. Probably many that have done way more, but that feels like ages and ages of fun.

I tend to disagree with you there one simply doesn't compare cod to battelfield

If you want to compare cod to something compare it to MOH

Very much worth it,make sure you get premium edition (make sure it says Premium edition and not just premium because premium needs the BF3 base game to run while premium edition includes premium and BF3)

BF4 is only coming out at the start of 2014 or the end of 2013.

Meh! The price on Origin is back to full price. Pity. I missed out.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I think I am going to go and buy the game from BTGames now. I don't think I will have problems with it on my GT 525M.

For a Noob, is it better to head online, get thrashed, and then eventually get the hang of it and get better, or is it better to practise through clocking the game or something?

Going online is the fastest way your going to learn. You'll hate every moment playing the singleplayer

Keep an eye out for online deals, if you've got an uncapped account. The game was going for only $10 on Origin a week ago, and I've seen deals as low as $15 on other sites.

Takealot has it for R190 and they take ebucks as payment. But Origin is probably the next alternative when it's on special again.

Help me with bf3 please :(

I went to BTGames and I bought Battlefield 3 for R199.95. It came with a free Battlefield 3 Close Quarters (not sure what that is).

Anyway, My DVD drive does not open the disc :( I tried Daemon tools and it also failed. I got a Dell XPS L502X Notebook, bought it last year.
