Is the keyboard on its way out?

We will still be using the keyboard for many, many, more years. While the voice recognition stuff can be cool for yourself, it can never be used completely in an office environment. A bunch of people talking at there computers won't go down so well.

Yeah... I'll keep using my keyboard.

I'd prefer that people hear the clicking next door than hear me talking strangely to my computer, cos that's so much more romantic.

My current keyboard is the softest, best-looking keyboard I've had. I'm very satisfied.

May still get a Cherry MX Red some time in the distant future; have more important things to focus on. :)

I hate any form of voice activated commands/devices because it's less effort to push a button(s) than to speak, to me.

I've been talking to my computers for many years already. Usually something along the lines of "WTF is the matter with you? Why won't you boot?"

And the reason voice recognition has always had a tough time taking off is because you feel like a pratt talking to a inanimate device. That's why Apple had some success with Siri: they know their customer base ;)
