Move to Capitec even there debit cards are being used as credit cards :)

You can also make use of FNB's cheque cards. They work just like credit cards.

There's also online prepaid cards though I've never used one but I should be able to find a link for you if you are interested.

Any VISA/Mastercard card can do this.... Get your normal bank account's card changed to VISA / Mastercard and you should be able to buy online.

You may find your bank card is Visa Electron... this does not work online.

Register for easypay (easypay.co.za, I think) and then get the VCPay app on your Android/iPhone. You then link the two accounts and you can EFT money into your easypay account and use VCPay to generate virtual credit cards. Works like a charm. Someone here on the forum referred me to them, but I can't for the life of me remember who it was.

Had created a thread of VCPay a while back, still use it.

If you don't have a Android/iPhone to run the app for VCPay:

Then get this program up and running on your computer, I use it to run VCPay and Whatsapp on my computer.

Just note dependent on your bank if you make an EFT to your EasyPay account, it might take up to two days for the amount to reflect on your account.
According to the site you can also go to pick and pay to make a deposit into an EasyPay account so you don't even need a debit card.

Steam takes paypal. Or your parents could just add money to your steam wallet?

If you sell some items on the market you could save up to buy something?

It may be way to slow though unless you have a super rare item to sell for a tonne of money...

Yeah no one can ever say we're not helpful to the new guys hey.

This helps me a shitload considering I've recently paid off my credit cards and snipped them.

Will be looking at that VCPay option as I already use Easypay.

That's the great thing about Virtual Credit Cards, they expendable and you have absolute control over them. Their not limited like Gift Cards, they accepted at just about any Online store, local or internationally, and most importantly you don't have to risk going into debt and losing all you money just to do online transactions.

Seriously?? I wish I had seen this during the Origin sale

Yes you can always play free to play games like DOTA 2.

and sell/trade the items, which eventually leads to Chest keys which have around $2 value which you can use to trade for games you want.

For instance I see people trading CS:GO for 2 Keys, Alice Madness for 3 Keys, and Skyrim for 4 Keys.

Which means you can still CS:GO for around R20-30 even after the sale have expired.

Why would you snip your credit cards? If you spend R500 on the credit card you just have to transfer R500 onto it. It's just an easier way to pay for things.

You must have some incredible will power...

I think PayPal is the best option, most online stores will take it, its incredible safe, and if you with fnb its simple to set up...
