Is Uncharted 4 in Development?

A job listing posted today on LinkedIn reveals that Naughty Dog is working on a new project. According to the listing, the team is looking for a designer for work "producing engaging and fun third-person action gameplay and levels."

The listing refers to "planning, level layout, setup and tuning of single-player levels, from high concept to object placement and scripting." The Uncharted games have each come out two years apart, so it isn't unreasonable to imagine that Uncharted 4 could be in development already.

Naughty Dog's other big franchise, Jak & Daxter, is also a third-person action game. Recent rumors hint that a new Jak & Dexter HD collection is on the way, and since some PlayStation games, such as Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, were announced immediately following a collection, it's possible that Naughty Dog could be gearing up for a new Jak & Daxter game as well.

For now, we don't know if this project will be a part of an existing franchise or if it will be a new IP altogether. Naughty Dog has not confirmed a new project, so we can only treat the listing as a rumor.

I wouldn't expect anything less from Naughty Dog. This is one of the last captivating story line based games out there. This series goes from strength to strength.

All Ive heard so far is its not going to be possible on PS3, heard its a lauch title for PS4. I dont expect anything less since current graphics on U3 is mindblowing & they said they pushed it to the max! PS4 Debut price is going to be R9999 mwahahahaha :'(

I would be happy with either a new Uncharted (which is definitely bound to happen either way) or a new Jak and Daxter game from Naughty Dog themselves as oppose to the Lost Frontier (which was okay).

I have fond memories of Jak 3, just kept on coming back to that game over and over. In actual fact the series must be one of the most played series in my PS2 collection (excludes the racing game).

A new IP would also be interesting, where to from here Naughty Dog.

Naught Dog making new games is a win for everyone. All of the above mentioned games are great, so if they are making a new entry into any of those stables, that's good news.

If it is Uncharted 4, I need to get my ass in gear and finish the first one, so that I can start catching up to 2 and 3.
