ITNT: R1 per GB capped

ITNT's first 2 packages beat other ISP's pricing but it seems like Afrihost is cheaper if you look at their 100Gb+ deals. Their R1 a Gigabyte deal didn't last as long as most people had hoped. I tried to sign up but the R1 per a gig option is no longer available, and it seems it's hard capped as well.

WTF?

This is the only company that has EVER launched ADSL, where you pay MORE, the higher package you get. I mean:

R10 for 10GB = R1 per GB
R50 for 25GB = R2 per GB
R150 for 50GB = R3 per GB
R300 for 75GB = R4 per GB

WTF?

R1 per GB ADSL deal pulled

ITNT MD Grant Colyn told MyBroadband that the company did not expect such a massive uptake of its new promotion. “What we expected to happen in 2 to 3 weeks happened in one day,” he said.

Colyn said that too many people signed up for the solution too fast, which would have “sunk the ship” if they allowed it to continue.

ITNT then made a decision to manage the influx of new subscribers by increasing the pricing of its products.

Early days, I will rather wait a couple of months to see if their pricing remains the same, as well as the quality.

I would hate to quote myself, but I think it a tiny bit necessary. I some what foresaw this occurring, just not at that pace.

Going to a bit funny, seems like quite a few people cancelled their subs with other ISP's now they have to go back again.

Well in this case Crzwaco was right. The early adopters are now the ones with the cheaper price until December, the rest are out of luck.

Early days is when you sign up get awesome connection and when later day's when its terrible a new isp will come out and you can change to them. M2M really made this possible.

Well until ITNT decides that all those people topping up on R1 a gigabyte is too much for the system and decides to change it again. I don't know how their system works if you top up per a gigabyte and pay or pay at the end of the month for total usage.

Topup works you pay and they give you the gigs.

Hmm just checked out the topup function and as you can see there is no selection of all the available packages.

Tested out the R1.00 per GB, Went back to Afrihost 150GB x 2 = R599.00 pm

@ ITNT 100GB top up on R1.00 per GB Package will cost you R500.00 ? (R100.00 more @ Afrihost, you get 200GB Extra)

how does TOPUP work here? I took the 25GB (R25) option and am almost out of data. I want to now boost it with 10GB, but when i go to client zone and choose TOPUP, i don't see the option. all i see is a list of "upgrades" to higher more expensive packages

Think you have to add it as a separate package.

Its funny how they are shaping me atm still have 30gigs to go and afraid I might not be able to use it before the end of them month.

I just got this... I know I am not the best at maths but surely 20Gigs is not 80% of 50 Gigs.
Dear Customer,

We are kindly informing you that your ADSL account has reached 80% of your allocated monthly bandwidth.
