Thanks man, will do!!!I will do some serious testing tonight to see if it was worth upgrading from my gtx285,hope so!!:D

Sure man,Got if from Take2,they received 3 x GTX480's(2 left now!!)and 3 x GTX470's.My Gtx480 was R6066.00 and the 470's are going for R4280.00.They are going to go really quick though and the guy from Take2 said the next batch is only middle May.

Cheers

As far as I know these are the only stock of Gtx400's currently in Rsa,I could be wrong but I tried everywhere else and no luck!!

I see they have got Inno3D cards on Prophecy now,www.prophecy.co.za

I will rather get the 5970 for that price but yet again the games don't need that big graphics card these days. my GTX280 can run everything full with 60-125FPS+ on any game. if not the game is poorly optimized.

So I went and spend my cash on a cooler master sniper black edition

DiceAir,no offense man but on 1920x1080 with my old gtx285 there was a lot of games like Crysis,Metro,Just Cause 2 ect that there is no way I can get 60-125Fps with everything maxed out with and AA and AF turned on,so I dont see your 280 doing that in "any game" unless you turn the settings down. Will post gtx480 benches and impressions later this morning.

Cheers

jip agree with vetbeer but still dirt 2 runs like 60+fps on my system full gfx. I've overclocked my card stable. CPU also overclocked. turn down 1 or 2 things thats not making that much of a difference. If I can't get good fps then the games engine is screwed.

Dice , yur 280's are good cards but are getting old now. Although you getting good FPS , the detail you get with a DX 11 card is so much more than on yours and then also the FPS that goes with it. I personally love playing everything full and it is great to hear that the GTX is doing so well in real life . Personally i think it is getting lots of negative feedback unnecessary.

ok sory just saw on jump.co.za that the price has dropped a lot but still it's expensive. will like to get one but my PSU won't handle a GTX480 and a GTX280 for my physx

Dice,I really dont think you need to run your gtx280 for physx when you are running a 480.I would sell that 280 and put it towards my new 480!!I was thinking of doing the same thing with my old 285 but I realise now it would have been overkill and also forced me to upgrade my psu which I already had to do last year.

Cheers
