Just a plain email. It looks legit but I just have a odd feeling about it.

You really shouldn't post phishing links in full.

Just to be clear, there is nothing legit about that email.

Of that email is BS but in case anyone doesn't know, if you do play wow, Blizz do have a special going where if you purchase their 'annual pass' (a 12month sub) you get Diablo 3 for free. Which if you were planning on playing for another year I guess it's a sweet deal.

I havent played wow in about a year but "Blizzard" sends me dodgy emails on an almost daily basis. Ijust junk all of it.

"When you get Diablo III, and other exclusive offers, you can download the player as soon as possible"

Imagine what would happen if scammers start using propper grammar and english?

It's like the Scammers Code. They use bad grammer on purpose so if you stupid enough not to realise it's a scam then you deserve to be scammed. :D It's how they can sleep at night by justify doing what they do. Liberating stupid people from the money so they don't spend it on stupid stuff. :p

Thanks for the heads up, it's sad how many spam and scam is sent out these days.

A good tip that I've been using for World of Warcraft is you use a specific email account for that game ONLY.

So for example I might have an email like [email protected] and I ONLY use that for my World of Warcraft battle.net login. If you don't sign up ANYWHERE else with this email account then you won't ever receive a fake email. If you do it means that your computer or web browser has been compromised and you should be very concerned.

there are way too many of these emails always going around constantly (probably like above poster says, somehow must have registered somewhere that got their database hacked). I even get emails about Aion almost daily and i have never even played Aion or registered on their site, never even visited the site but these hackers keep trying. so frustrating that there are moron's out there trying to steal your stuff/delete your char's etc..

I've never played WoW in my life, but somehow I get mail from them telling me my account password needs to be renewed and load of other crap.

Just gotta laugh when people start using banking scams for online gaming.

Something I read up on yesterday on how some guy caught a spammer. . . Pretty interesting actually.

Im realy tired of spam for one.I got 70 messages about that Whatsapp was going to start costing money, drove me to the point that I just deleted the app for a few days and reinstalled it.People now days are way to quick to post on a chain message without checking its facts first.

Got this shit as well.

Also got emails saying my Rift and Aion accounts have been hacked etc etc..

Don't even play those games. Used to get a ton of WoW phishing emails as well. But since I don't play anymore, gets deleted.

Funnily enough - Trion's account servers did get hacked a few weeks ago - got an e-mail asking people to log into their accounts and change their details. And then got a couple of days free play-time as a reward; not that I used it :)

I get more spam than 'regular' mail on a daily basis. Oddly it only started happening after my long lost half sister started mailing me. My mail address is just a random bunch of letters that does not spell anything either which kept me spam free for ages.

Trying working in a company with a few hundred employees.
although threatening to cut off their internet if they keep forwarding chain and junk mail seems to have helped. :D

I lol'd. Especially using "liberating" instead of "stealing" :D
