So coming from the worn key's thread.

What key's do you use for your actions in games.

Well the normal ones WASD for moving.

R= reload
E= Use or lean right.
F= Use/toggle sprint
Q= special abilities or lean right.
Shift= Melee/sprint
Ctrl= crouch.
Mouse 4 for expl grenade.
Mouse 5 stun grenade.

R = Reload
E = Melee/Quick weapon swap(TF2)
F = Use/Taunt(TF2)
Shift = Sprint/Crouch(Games which don't have sprint)
Ctrl = Toggle Prone
C = Toggle Crouch
V/T = Voice

And then some other specialised actions go to Mouse 4 and 5.

View: mouse
Movement: wasd
Sprint: shift

For games that don't need a mouse there is an Xbox controller for PC

Seems like I only use the KB and mouse for shooters and strategy games nowdays

W : Forward
S : Back
A : Left
D : Right

CTRL : Crough
SHIFT : Run
ALT : Prone

R : Reload
E: Use

Then it differs by game, but I use all the keys around WASD.

Q : is usually for some instant weapon like a railgun.
(Most of game keys are bound to weapons similar in style to Quake...where I first modified my CFG file.)

The first thumb button on my Logitech MX 518 normally kept for melee weapons. (like the knife in BF en CoD)

Oh and I play with mouse inverted!

I just don't have that issue...still use one of these

Yeah, is/was very handy. Was originally by Ideazon which was aquired bySteelseries and was re-released as the Steelseries Shift

I'll probably use this keyboard until it dies. It's so intuitive to use and (as with Logitech's software) supports profile switching when a game loads. So you can actually swap keys around as it suits you for games where you cannot re-map keys.

I don't bother re-assigning keys anymore - just adapt to whatever WASD is set.

Within reason - mouse 3 and scroll wheel for example annoy me.

I cannot stand default keys.

C and V for Crouch and Melee, respectively, are very "out-of-the-way" keys - IMO.

I agree. I stick with stock controls.

What I did try once was make the controls in BF3 similar to WoW.

Holding mouse 1 + 2 would make me sprint and I used E to shoot and W to zoom/scope. It actually worked surprisingly well. Took some time getting used to but it was fun for about a week.
