Killzone 2 or Resistance 2

Don't know yet. Haha. Am busy playing Resistance 2, but I mostly just play 60 player online matches. Actually bought Killzone 2 today, but I have to wait until after work to try it out.
 
Neither are brilliant, but I enjoyed Resistance 2 a little more: less polish, but more substance IMHO.

But is Killzone 2 bad? I just got it today and i hope it's not bad. I had to choose between that and Resident Evil 5. I've never been much of an RE fan, so I went for Killzone. Mistake?

Killzone isn't bad mate:) Its actually pretty good.

I would have personally picked RE5 over Killzone though..next time get RE5 you won't regret it..both are good titles to own;)
 
Kwl, thanks dude. I really wanted to give RE 5 a try, but I wanted a nice single player experience and I also want to play a bit online as well. Will definately get RE 5 sometime though. :D

Nope not bad the AI is actually pretty good and not as dumb as the Chimera in R2, its got an ok single player overall but the multiplayer is real good, on par with R2.

I can't choose which is better between R2 and KZ2 when it comes to online.

As for RE5 its good but not great.
They basically took RE4, shoved it in Africa and then updated the graphics.
Could've been much much better if they actually put some real thought in it

Great, thanks. I can't wait to get off work and try out Killzone, although it will probably need to download a patch before I can play online. Have to agree with you that the Chimera in R2 is a bit dumb, but the multiplayer is AWESOME. Hope KZ2 is just as great.

And as for RE 5, I read the exact same thing somewhere today, that's the main reason I decided to get KZ2 instead.

Jip, I'm still slaving off at work. Have to stay till 8 o'clock. The horrors of retail trading hours. :D Yeah, I've already got Resistance 2, been playing it online like mad. Can't wait to get home tonight to give Killzone 2 a go.
 
Online is awesome, I'm really enjoying Resistance 2 multiplayer. I'm still a bit of a noob when it comes to console FPS games (just got my PS3 recently) and I ranked 4th in a 60 player match last night.:)
 
NATHAN HALE! Seriously though both are excellent Titles but just play Resistance 2 and complete it, you will be slack jawed for weeks and ask the question i'm still asking which is: "WTF!??!?!?!"
 
I just finished Bound in Blood this weekend, and I must admit that I enjoyed it more than either Resistance or Killzone.

A highly recommended purchase.
 
Killzone 2 is the better one of the two, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's very good. It's 'decent' to say the least.
 
I played both, preferred R2 for singleplayer, it just seemed more entertaining to me, and for multiplayer KZ2 worked better on my slow 384k adsl, R2 lagged terribly if there was more than 2 people on the map.
