Killzone 2.....your thoughts?

No. I dont think so. Try a few. never a good idea to test only 1 before making a judgement. I love console fps but disliked Killzone 2. Other loved it while disliking Halo. So its down to taste me thinks.

Based on all your negative comments about this game that contradicts with most people, I'm almost scared to read what you have to say about this ever again. lol!!

If it does suck, and I really hope it sucks less than what you've been implying, I can always fall back on my trusty PC. I suppose what I do have in my advantage is that I now have realistic expectations of the game AND I only paid R149 for it :)

I havent been that negative have i?:( I just never could get into it. But we all know im a Halo Fanboi :D If u already have it, nothing to stop you from trying it, if u want to buy it... well its super cheap so nothing stopping u either.
 
For R149 who cares if the game blows, at least you didn't pay R600 ;)

Personally from the vids I have seen this game looks pretty sick, I think I might just start it tonight.

Heh, I think if I had to do some kind of search in your recent posts for the word "Halo", I think 99% of them would contain it :p So yeah, a fanboi, but at least you know it, so you are less likely to be blinded by your fanboi-ism unlike so many people. I think we all got a little fanboi in all of us >_< I know I do.

As far as Killzone 2 is concerned, well I got it, just never played it since I always seem to have other games at hand I would rather play. Personally FPS's have become so stagnant in my mind that it takes something very special to get me interested.

Personally like I have said before; Halo did nooooothing for me.

Im excited about the Halo Reach Beta mmmkay. :p Yes i know im a fanboi, but i try to still be at least a little unbais. Read my reviews, i think i do a good job of hiding the fact that i LOVE Halo.

Has KZ2 got co-op? Coz then me and Sp00ner could try that... but i dont have a headset for the ps3. Do you Spooner?

I does have a logitech headset that works on my PS3 ya.
 
Looked a little into Halo Reach and I am certainly interested since it seems to be taking a more gritty approach. I think the look and feel of the other Halo's made a dent in my feelings towards them. And I am not saying Omega that you are at all unfairly bias. I have not seen any evidence towards that. I appreciate that you can admit you are a fanboi and still remain objective; very few people can do that. You just like Halo, and even though I do not like it, I know it is a good game for many reasons.

Long live critical thought!
It is lacking in so many people, especially in many game reviewers these days.

I definitely think its worth a try - great visuals and action packed. I wasnt a big fan of the controls either but its not a killer. COD:MW2 on xbox was the last fps i played and I thought it was just as fun as pc but i think the xbox controller suits shooters better than the ps3.

What i love about Halo has more to do with Bungie. Check out the Halo Reach thread here on MyGaming. From a MP and Player investment point of view they are so far ahead of the pack. Where Mw2 gives u a 4 hour SP and then MP. Halo has always given a good 6 to 8 hour game, then u have the skulls to find, MP is amazing. Did u know that they guyz over at bungie has a differnt event on every weekend where players can get douple xp. Completely different modes and the like. Bungie also loves its Fans. Giving ODST players a free invite to the Reach Beta is simply awesome. And if u look at the changes made to the system its all things that players wanted to change.

Do your self a favor and get the Halo the Fall of Reach Novel. It is one of the best uses of a set IP i have ever read. Since it serve as a prequel to the original. The Halo universe is very rich, some one once called it the Star Wars of the Video Game generation. (Not me though Star Wars is the SHIT)
But its not everybody's cup of coffee. The story can be a bit hard to follow if u missed Halo 1 & 2 (which most in SA would have since we didn't have the original xbox) and its not exactly the most complex of plots. But the, what has been called, the 5 min of fun repeated over and over mechanic Halo introduced us too hooked many players. that "Holy Shit did u see wat i just did!" But yeah,

That could also be it u know. I had just gotten the PS3 when i played KZ2 and the controller was not agreeing with me.
 
Killzone 2 is visually very impressive, but that's where it ends.

The controls are really poorly implemented. The story and characters are forgettable. The AI is very impressive though.

All in all it's a glorified tech demo for the console and not really a meaty game at the end of the day.
 
I loved call of duty 4 but i was a bit dissapointed by how short it was i was hoping it would be a lot longer, but dont worry killzone 2 is a much longer game and is very good, i would give it a 8 out of 10, the graphics are absolutely stunning and they are only something like 25% of the ps3s capability, as well as that the online mode is fantastic,
