Kinect eyes the business world

Interesting. I read about an exhibition (Popular Mechanics) in the US where students from various universities and technological institutes build environmentally friendly homes in an effort to reduce global warming. One of the projects that were on display featured Microsoft Kinect in various rooms, monitoring the inhabitants and looking for certain gestures, which would in turn control electrical appliances and lighting.

Kinect does seem to be, in fact, better at everything else except gaming. That isn't necessarily a bad thing.

/waits for matt to show up and show us cool stuff about Kinect/
