Konami has reportedly stopped all AAA console game production, apart from on the Pro Evolution Soccer series.
The news comes from French site Gameblog, and follows yesterday's news that Fox Engine overseer Julien Merceron has left the studio. So far, the news has not been confirmed yet.
An official reason has not been given for Merceron's departure, but it is rumored to be connected with Konami's shift to mobile games.
Work on Metal Gear Online will be completed before its release date on October 6, but after that we may not be seeing any more of the likes Metal Gear or Silent Hill on console.
Despite Metal Gear Solid V's success, Konami has not had a good year, after a falling out with Hideo Kojima and reports of grim treatment by the company of its employees.
