I've never played it, this is why I ask. Will there be story or other elements that will carry over from one game to the next?

Isn't this a turn based game as well?

None of Larian's newer games really follow a straight line in terms of story order. There's usually a few references, but most of their games are independent stories, taking place in the same universe though. You should really play the Enhanced Edition of Original Sin when it launches next week. Gameplay wise, it sets the groundwork for Original Sin 2, although OS2 will be even better. I hope :p

Yes, it's a turn based game.

Plus I have a feeling Original Sin 2 will be delayed to 2017. So there's no reason to wait.

Seems Eugene and I are the only ones excited for this. :p I never finished the original. I played it at launch and encountered a game-breaking bug after about 60 hours of playtime. By the time it got fixed I had lost interest. Plus my older PC would spontaneously combust every time I tried to start it. At least now I've got a new GPU that can handle the new version and its improved visuals.

But my download is going to take about 13 hours, and I have to schedule it between 12 and 6am. I thought Telkom were upgrading 2Mbit/s accounts to 4Mbit/s this year? "whistling:

Going to give the new Tactician mode a try when I start playing. It looks nice and challenging.

I played Divinity for about 50-70 hours and never finished it. Awesome game but perhaps too much content

Yeah mine was done downloading this morning. I never finished the game either, but I enjoyed the hell out of it while I was playing. Think I'm going to enjoy it even more now, can't wait to try it tonight.

I've been keeping an eye on it all along.. Money's been tight, so it'll have to be on a big special, but I'll definitely get it someday! Has anyone tried the controller support? Does it play well with one?

Reviewers and players on other forums say yes, the new UI works remarkably well with a controller. ;)

20 m HDMI cable, wireless xbox controller, and my lazyboy means I pc game on the TV. It really is the shizness.

I also have a 20 m USB cable for when a kb + mouse is required.
 
Well so far the changes I've encountered to the story and dialogue are pretty awesome. Making some characters more relevant and explaining the plot a bit better.

Zixzax and the Weaver of Time now actually talk to each other!


And the fully voiced dialogue really adds a lot.
