L.A. Noire 3 disks for Xbox

I don't think that having 3 discs is even a problem :/ To me when I heard about 3 discs I was like "wow, this game is going to be huge" and huge it was. Having to swap the discs should really not be an issue...it just depends on how lazy u are :P
 
I've been thinking about the whole three disc thing and while I don't have a problem with it there is one thing I'd like to know.....

Obviously in LA Noir, there are main story line missions and side missions in the game. Now, if I decide to skip one of the very first side missions that's part of disc1 but decide, while on disc3, that I want to play it quickly....... do I need to put disc 1 back in? :confused:

Not that it would make a difference in the long, just swap the discs already. Just call me curious. :)

As I understand it certain side missions or (street crime) is tied to certain desks, the desks are spread across the disks.

Exactly, there is just no comparison between PS3 and Xbox atm. And besides, I bet the switching between disk will be so far apart that it wont make any difference.
 
I couldn't help But lol after reading this thread. But Seriously if you own an Xbox burn it now Because swapping disks takes away All the fun out of gaming. No really :P

I LOVE L.A Noire... it's really such an awesome game. It's challenging and really, really interesting. I haven't played much of it, but I intend on spending some quality time with my xbox as soon as I'm done with this silly research essay.

That takes away immersion and I am lazy enough that I would not like standing up to swap discs.
 
Mass Effect 2 also had the disc swapping thing and it worked out perfectly! For its 3 disks worth, XBOX version still got a slightly better Metacritic score than PS3 (sorry, fanboy in me :P). Its not like put disc 1 in, sit down, 5min, stand up, swop disc 2, 5min, etc.

Dude - Once I get comfortable, I don't wana move and getting up to change a disk mid game - just sucks!

PS3 version is awesome and for the lazy people like me...lol (fanboy in me..haha)

And how long do you think till games no longer fit on a single Blu-Ray? No denying it, the time will come.

I'm not sure this is a good point or a bad point to be honest. Your so lazy, you think its good you don't need to get up to change a disk? Else your Console is 100m away from you.

Is it not possible to install the game to your Har-drive? Then you would only need one disc to govern them all? Just wandering, haven't had a chance to buy me a copy yet. For the record, I'm with the XBOX fanboys on this one...

Nah, one disc won't govern them all. Even if you install it to the hard drive it won't make a difference, you still have to get up and change the discs. Installing games to the hard drive just helps your Xbox to run smoother and quieter.
 
Its not that bad cause you only have to swap each disk once, but its definitely a perk to the PS3 version... and even with the update for the extra Gb on the Xbox disks now I think there will still be games that cross the 2 disk barrier and make me buy PS3 over Xbox

i think microsoft had to keep there HD DVDs just for xbox so that they could keep up with sony!
coz they will never go blu ray. i feel sorry for xbox owners in that regard
 
People it's really not that bad to swop discs. Do yo0u swop disks when you want to playa different game ? Sure

Besides you only need to get up and swop disks twice during the game.

Stop bloody whining
