The PC version is being developed by Rockstar Leeds, will run on "a wide range of PCs" and feature customization, including keyboard remapping and gamepad functionality, says Rockstar.

More excitingly, the house of GTA promises improved graphical enhancements and 3D support for the mouse and keyboard version.

"L.A. Noire is a new type of game that makes players see through a detective's eyes in 1940s Los Angeles," said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games. "Its unique blend of story, action and crime solving will be perfect to play on PC."

The console version of the Team Bondi-developed crime thriller was released in May, quickly shipping 4 million units to become the fastest-selling new game IP in UK history.

I have to say this is quite unexpected, but great news none the less. :)

I really loved oooohNaNa's comment. Obviously he was a big Dragon Age/Dungeon Siege fan. Since this was originally a console exclusive maybe it can be "dummed up" for us PC gamers LOL! I'm sure it's going to be fantastic. Was there quite a lot of puzzle solving in the console versions? I loooove me some puzzles! :-D

Didn't Yahtzee say this game is less imaginative and less charismatic than Tex Murphy?

Thats great news for PC gamers. Nice to know Rockstar has not forgotten about them especially since they missed out on RDR.

I'm about halfway through it on PS3. No real challenging puzzles. It's actually kinda like an interactive TV series, with the crimes being a self-contained episode in a larger unfolding story arc. The interview portions can be challenging, as stringing together the various clues and making the right choices isn't always obvious. Still, for the most part you muddle through each crime and reach a resolution. I'm not sure if there are multiple endings for each as I haven't had a chance to experiment.

The motion capture and animation technology is the real star of the game. It will be interesting to see how it scales up to PCs, which are obviously capable of much higher resolutions and sharper details. PCs also don't suffer from the fuzzy edges and blurry visuals that the consoles show thanks to their AA and texture filtering implementations.

I think it's gonna be good :)

There's like 2 puzzles and they're easy enough for a 5 year old to complete.

There aren't really different endings, but there are different cutscenes depending on if you get the right suspect or not. But nothing that affects gameplay.

Dainty.

Next up, Red Dead Redemption.

I've only recently laid hands on RDR on PS3. The sub-720p visuals are ugly! Still a fun game though. I wonder if RDR can up-scale suitably visually to keep PC gamers happy.
