Laptop gaming

Who here uses their laptop for some gaming. I do it often if I'm travelling or the PC is out of commission while awaiting for an upgraded component. It's great for playing old classics so you don't need a gaming laptop.

Currently playing Red Alert while I await a ram upgrade having sold my previous ram. Other games I have on it include Mafia, Dungeon Keeper, Close combat 2 and the original C&C. Going to load up Dues Ex next.

I do this, I got a laptop that does both my studying and playing games, it's really nice when you go overseas and you want to play some games :p

i use my laptop both for work and gaming.

mine can run COD: BO quite comfortably... but then again my laptop is more of a gaming laptop than a normal laptop...

my laptops got shitty intel gma 950 graphics so the only games i can play at reasonable framerates are unreal tournament 2003, orange box (on low detail), fifa 09, halo 1, countertrike etc. because it does not have hardware accelerated shaders it slows down to a crawl trying to play newer titles.

I just bought an Acer 5820TG (i5,4 gigs ram, 750GB Hard Drive, ATi 5650). I R happy wif it! :p

I am currently only playing Titans Quest as I left all my cds / dvds at home and am out of the country (I purchased SC2 but the work server blocks access to the battlenet logon, so no SC2 for a few months )

Edit: Oh I also have Diablo2 that I can putter around with.

I have an Acer 7720G... 2gigs ram, ATI Radeon 2400 (or something like that) 256mg and duo core 2.0...

It's 3 years old this year and for it's age it's still pretty shweet. Played Bioshock on it as well as Assassin's Creed, Mirror's Edge, Far Cry 2 and even some Crysis before that game bored the life out of me. It's all about tweaking and making it work. That said, I'm in desperate need of an upgrade seeing as though my screen is hanging onto the rest of the computer by one hinge...

I've got an apple macbook, and I must say it's not too bad. I can play SC2 on it with nice framerates. Haven't tried any other games.

I've started prepping my MX17x for the game, will be testing during the closed Beta to see if it runs decently, I suspect it might though

What laptop can I get that is able to play most of the games on medium to high settings.. Without having to sell both my kidneys?
