Laptop Users Unite! I need some help...

Done but your survey does not make allowance for people with more than one laptop, ie one for work, one for personal use

Survey done and dusted, should have an option for laptops previously had.

Tried to, my lecturer said it was a bad idea and wouldn't be relevant so I scrapped it :s
Thanks btw

And now I have enough surveys to complete the rest of my assignment,
Thanks guys!

Results

Just a recap
The responses had to be tweaked a bit so they were more reliable.
But overall the Assignment went off well :) Got decent grades for it
Thanks everyone.

What was found in the research was that a 82.8% of the respondents were aged 29 and younger, while 14.1% was aged 30-39 and 3.1% was aged 40 and older.

53.1% of respondents were full time employed, while students came second with 39.1% and 6.3% were part time employed, and only 1.6% was unemployed.

Research shows that users were generally satisfied with their laptop, although a total count of 26.6% of respondents were unsatisfied with their laptop

With regards to how people use their laptops, the primary usage was for work, then Leisure activities (web browsing...etc) then multimedia (gaming..etc) and finally other (whatever you couldn't fill into the other categories). From this we can see gaming is not the primary usage for laptops but more for work and internet leisure activities (facebook..etc).

78.1% said laptops were not their primary computer. 21.9% said it was.

39.1% said they purchased their own laptops, while 29.7% had their parents purchase it, 1.6% had their relatives purchase it, 25% had their business purchases and 4.7% had others that are not in the category purchase it. It is suspected that this is closely linked to the occupations of the respondents...

43.8% use their laptop at home, 39.1% use their laptops at work, 7.8% use it at school/educational facilities and 9.4% at other (yeah some people say they use it most in toilets... "whistling:)

78.1% think that their laptops are important while the rest not so.

Alright here is where I was surprised, The 2 biggest laptop brands owned are, HP (29.7%) and Toshiba (15.6%), I had expected Asus to be among here or Apple but it turns out not that many people buy them.. hmm...

And finally the laptop brand that most people want to buy is, Asus (20.3%) and HP (15.6%), turns out HP is really popular...

The people who are in business, i tried to offer them asus laptops, but to their ears, they havnt ever heard of asus before.
They rather have a Hp or dell, or something similar to that range.
So it doesnt really come to a surprise even though the asus laptops are one of the best out there and service is amazing.

Done, will you be publishing your findings?

uhm ok nevermind then just saw you already posted your findings :)
