The latest unemployment figures released by Statistics SA (StatsSA) are demoralising, Cosatu said on Wednesday.

"It is absolutely shocking and demoralising to see that if this trend persists we shall not only fail to meet government's target of creating five million new jobs between 2010 and 2020, but end up with loss of jobs over those 10 years," the Congress of SA Trade Unions (Cosatu) said in a statement.

Mr staff writer...less of Cosatu's bullshit and more stats please in future. Cosatu picked like the two most uninteresting stats out of a report with like a thousand stats.

Apparently there are 4 million plus people in SA that occupy themselves with "Fetching water or collecting wood/dung"...most in KZN/Limpopo. Dear lord...

Also....Eastern Cape kicked everyone's ass on response rate.
