HI ppl,

I'm in the market for an entire new screen.
I was having a look at the P2450H

Quick Specs :
24" Wide, 16:9 HD Format,
1920x1080,
2ms Response,
70000:1 Contrast Ratio,
300cd/m² Brightness -
D-SUB, DVI, HDMI

Any other recomendations or does some one have this screen.
Cheerio

It's pretty simple - you pay for what you get :P

Although the 2494hs offers disproportionately excellent specs for the price point: 2ms response, 120hz, hdmi. P2450H is win though.

Well the thing is I cant see it to be worth to pay more than about R2000.00 for a screen
And this one comes in at R2046 for what I found ....

Where can you get it for R2046? In my opinion, for that price you aren't going to get much better. That's a very good price.

isnt the 2494hs cheaper?

Yes it is but lower specs :
5ms response vs the 2ms
and 50000:1 Contrast vs 70000:1 (not that this probably makes a huge diff)
23.6" vs 24" (hey who said size matters .. .4" ??)

although the 2494hs has built in speakers. but this is non important

And the P2450H has Optical Audio Out, and the standard 3.5mm output.
(Audio from HDMI)

And it looks WAYY cooler.

Mcryan, you want an account with Frontosa. Definately. They have all the gaming stuff, well most of it, and a huge range besides.

Last time I saw a Rectron price list at least, their range pales in comparison, and their pricing wasn't any better either.

The issue with Frontosa is that their service is horrible. Yes, they do stock some awesome stuff and their prices are decent. But their service comes nowhere NEAR that of Rectron. Frontosa's delivery system is based on a hit-or-miss situation. They are unprofessional and basically LIE to clients when they make mistakes, and making mistakes is what they seem to do best.

Rectron takes your order professionally, you are kept in the loop regarding the order process and when they deliver, it's done by a professional driver with common decency.

So if you're ordering something important, like an LCD, I warn you now, don't get it from Frontosa if you can get the same thing from Rectron. I only use Frontosa when it's something that isn't critical, such as gaming toys. All of my parts for my clients are handled by Rectron, because I can trust them.

Right well, I can't say I've had any issues with Frontosa, I haven't had a delivery yet though, I collect myself.

They haven't made a mistake with me yet. Do you use JHB or Cape Town branch? I've seen a few more complaints about Cape Town.

I just bought the Samsung T260 its 25.5" of crisp goodness and it only set me back about R3000.
Samsung rocks.
