WEll it's definitely worth it. specially since the DLC announcement aswell now including all maps to play CO OP and Versus!

I enjoyed the game alot..Only issue I had was that after a weekend of non stop L4D I can't seem to play it without getting bored!!

Same deal here, but I suspect that after giving it a break for a few months it will be good fun again for at least a few hours. On the topic of the sales, I hope that publishers take note of this and realise dropping the prices on games can be good for them.
