Lenovo unveils new touchscreen gaming laptop

That just looks gimmicky. Will be good for games like Angry Birds and Plants vs Zombies, but other proper games, why would you need a touch screen? I mean yes sure the laptop has some good specs (as you would imagine) but for the price you pay there will so lots of much better alternatives out there. Still not convinced about gaming laptops as value-add in my life, but that's just my opinion

I've got a Lenovo Y500A predominantly for work purposes, but it was my main gaming device for almost 2 years. It's liberating being able to game at home or hotel rooms overlooking Robben Island and Table Mountain. :)

100% and I can most certainly see your point. If you travel quite a lot, a gaming laptop is a good alternative for "mobile" gaming. But seeing as my gaming time is spent more behind a PC, I never caught onto the notion of laptop gaming.

A few years ago I lost my PC, and couldn't afford to replace it. When I got a work laptop capable of gaming, I still spent more time behind the Xbox gaming. I just don't enjoy gaming on a laptop. But again, that's totally my opinion, and is probably not a popular opinion. You may get the same enjoyment from gaming on a laptop than I get from a PC, and that is great. Different strokes for different okes ;)

Hey, I dabble in most platforms. Had 3 XBOXes over a span of 5 years, still have my PS3 and recently got a PS4 and my new proper gaming PC. PS4 is still virgin (as I don't have any games yet), PS3 has a decent backlog of great games and my gaming PC has a great backlog of (mostly) decent games. The Lenovo still sees some action when we LAN at work and the odd case when I need my Guild Wars 2 fix away from home.
