You guys with fishtanks - why no plants????

Because i will be getting Oscars at the start of January next year,i am using the guppies to cycle the tank.I'm going to let it run through the holiday unattended for 2-3weeks and then give it some cleaning when i get back and let it run for about a week to do water testing and such before adding 2-3 baby Oscars.Oscars are going to enjoy snacking on the guppies when they get bigger.

Hehehe True, Altho I have seen planted oscar tanks - you can get some java ferns and anubias to tie on to the wood. Just gives you some greenery also it helps keep the water parameters in check - they filter a lot of the gunk out.

Cool but i don't know how to care of water plants unfortunately, even java moss seems to die in my guppy tank after i tied it down on the highest point of my driftwood. My tank stays light up for 15hours max a day and 12hours minimum.

I have a 90cm tank at home, no fish in it currently, and I have ALL the expensive accessories for it... need a buyer... R500!
