List your gaming rig specs + pics

Thanks, have always been very curious to see what your rig looks like. Do you know if the thermal compound under the lid of the 4790K is better than the 4770K? My temps feel a bit high and when I run stress tests the temps jump rather than climbing gradually like my 920 did.

The 4790K is on avg about 5-10c cooler than the 4770K.
I would suggest grabbing some Gelid GC-Extreme thermal paste, that'll give you another 5-6c drop in temps.

Thanks, would you recommend delidding the chip? It's not running that hot, I just think it should be less and should climb a bit slower.

Nope I wouldn't do that, def not worth the 10c drop unless you can afford to lose a cpu. Friend of mine has delidded quite a few cpu's and he told me that no matter how good you are at doing it you can still make a small mistake and then cpu is trashed.

The thermal paste I recommended will make a difference though, It's quite hard to get hold of but it'll def drop your temps.

Thanks, think I'll just leave it for now then, gets to like 75 at the moment on prime95 maximum heat. The small fft I think. That's safe enough for me and I'm pretty happy with 3.9Ghz with boost. Would have just been nice but not worth it at the moment for me then.

I picked it up from the new Makro near Killarney about two years ago. Maybe 3 actually. If you're happy to sit in the traffic, check out the Ottery Makro as I saw them there as well about a year ago.

Old pic, currently replaced 280mm rad with 360 alphachool ut60.
Waiting to see 120hz+ 1440p freesync monitors on the market.

Yea, thank you. The tubing took the most of the time to do.

Welcome to My Gaming.

I actually remember seeing this build on OC.net in 2014. Looks spectacular bud.
Only crappy thing is I can't use watercooling :( I change and test hardware way too often...just makes it impossible.

Thank you :)

Decided to get active in the SA community and maybe sell some of the WC stuff.
Yes, changing hardware is a bit of a procedure. I changed the front radiator and did some mods it took me two days but the silence you get while gaming is worth the effort :)

A lot of people here seem to invest quite a bit into gaming headphones.
I recommend people who must have a mic to look into a antlion modmic. You won't regret it cause all these gaming headphones come with a cheap $2 mic.
don't even want to mention the internals used to make them.
