Little Big Adventure 2

This is one of the first game I got for the PC (actually burrowed...) that had me hooked (and stuck) for a while. Never before have I played in virtual 3d world that you could go and explore in detail. Not to mention you could punch everyone, and I do mean everyone, although not always without consequences, those kids have big brothers you know.

No internet, no walkthroughs, just pure adventure exploring an unknown world and all it's possibilities. Game didn't hold hands either, it was pretty dang hard especially for someone as young as me, but there was always something new and exciting to discover so I just kept on playing, twists and cool cutscenes everywhere.

It's horrible to play now, the control scheme is terrible, the sounds grating... Great for it's time but now argh

Both LBA games were really good for their time. I still remember LBA 1 keeping me up until 4am for the first time in my life, when I was still in high school. Both games are available on gog.com by the way, but I have to agree with Lupus regarding the control scheme and sound. The music was epic though.

I think the game that came closest to recapturing the spirit of LBA was Beyond Good and Evil.
