Alright, you guys might or might not remember me (I've been registered since the start of this year, but I've been quite inactive for about 2 months) but here I am once again, out of internet.

The question is: How would I like to spend my remaining 50GB of local bandwidth?

If you know me, the question is quite easily answered: Doing what I like most, WoW.

Now, I was thinking, are there any private servers (WotLK 3.3.5a or Cataclysm 4.0.6) that I would be able to jam on for the next week?

P.S: Say what you want about private servers, but only getting 50% of the game for 0% of the price still sounds good to me.

Have you tried roza online?

Don't worry, I'm planning on playing on retail servers once I get an internet package that can thoroughly sustain a WoW player for an entire month, as to make the most out of the subscription fee. So Blizzard will still make money off me.

I was gonna type out a response to that, but then I though "Fuck it. I'm not getting into another piracy debate." and cancelled it.

R29 a month too much, because you don't need more than 2GB a month for WoW? That's 20% of the subscription fee just to play the game, so if you not paying for that then you probably aren't going to pay for subs.

Ah, RoseSA. Indeed, I have heard of this, and I have played it for a brief while. However, the gameplay itself generally isn't the kind I like. But hey, if I don't find anything else, I'll certainly give it another shot.

There is also:
DDO - F2P
Star Trek Online - F2P
DC Universe Online - F2P
Blacklight; Retribution - F2P
Tribes Ascend - F2P
Guild Wars

Well, I don't pay for my internet, my dad does, so if I want an upgrade, I need to make him want it too. Believe me, if I could chip in R100 a month to get 4Mbps uncapped, I sure as hell would.

"But no," he says, "that takes away the principles of managing your current resources."

Why deal with the symptoms when you can deal with the root of the problem?

Don't get me wrong, I FUCKING LOVE BLIZZARD, but there really is no way for me to show my gratitude towards them if my internet cannot sustain a full subscription period.

2Gb might be fine for just playing, although I think it's a bit on the low side. But it's not going to be enough when you hit a major patch. Moreso if he can't get an updated client and have to download everything himself.

... Uncapped solutions are so dirt cheap these days? Just saying...

I completely agree with you on that one, I still cannot comprehend how we pay R300 p/m for capped, when we can pay 30% more and have uncapped at the same speed. Still, we're getting a bit off-topic here, the original question was whether or not anyone knows any locally hosted servers I can play on.

I can actually remember playing on Continuum and SARealm a bit less than 2 years ago, but sadly, they're not running anymore. I've wanted to try SAWoW, but since their website isn't hosted in SA, I've found myself unable to even register.

PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS DILEMMA! The withdrawal symptoms are starting to kick in...
Every time the microwave goes "ding!" I find myself yelling "GZ!!!!!!!!!"
