Logitech unveils a washable keyboard

No mess, no fuss.

AKA the lan party keyboard.

I used to have an el cheapo keyboard to take to LANs cause, without fail each time, I would always mess coke\beer\ketchup on it at some time.

I've already killed two keyboards, one with coffee, the other with coke.

VERY useful for those who mess drinks on their keyboards.

Personally not something I would go for - unless all gaming keyboards become like that xD

Wow, that's really awesome. I hate it when dust and random bits get stuck between the keys so unscrewing the keyboard and wiping it with wet tissues was the only way. Now that its "washable" I can just chuck it into the washing machine and be done with it.

In all honesty, any keyboard is washable, as long as you give it ample time to dry out before plugging it back in.

My Black Widow Ultimate is currently sitting next to my fan after knocking my coffee over into it the other day...

True, I washed keyboards before. i just leave it to dry in the sun for the whole day before using it again.

Now that its "washable" I can just chuck it into the washing machine and be done with it.

Well, there is only one way to find out! But I think if you wash it only with out the spin dry at the end it should be okay?

Yay! no more problem when I knock my beer over my keyboard! Unfortunately my Logitech G16 suffered from beer spill back in the day and never made it to see another day

Why didn't you wash it and leave out to dry in the sun, or use a blow dryer? Most electronics survive being wet if you dry it properly. My 2 logitech keyboards, cheap nokia phone and an old CRT tv is a testament to this.

Somehow I doubt that you can put it in the washing machine

I've put keyboards in the dishwasher before, some have been just fine, others have died. Guess the water was too hot.
