Looking at upgrading GFX this year, need some thoughts

Isn't there a huge difference in price? Wouldn't it be better to maybe wait for the 5970 to drop a bit if you are set on that one.
 
it's not that i'm set on a 5970, it's the fact that it's a crap ton of money and i just want to make the right choice and not regret it...
 
Another vote for the 5870 Vapor-X. It's the card I'm going to be getting myself in the next three months or so.
 
I'm looking at a GTX465 / GTX470 SLI setup. Like the 8800GT, the GTX465 seems to be a MONSTER with SLI.
Check tom's, guru etc, SLI shows allmost DOUBLE performance in all games tested. SO I will check. Otherwise I'll just grab a 480 :)
 
Let's make it simple for you mate. How much do you want to spend?
Give me a budget and i'll work out the best possible scenario for you.
 
I did notice that 3x 5770's are insanely powerfull they even trump the mighty 5970:D <-----If you can afford that go for it:D
Dude for your budget go for a 5870 You will not regret it.

listen Joker, i'd love to x-fire some 5770's hey, but my chipset on my mobo. nForce 780a is sli only hey :p
 
Take it from me,I have Sapphire 5850 vapor-X and if I had the cash for 5870 vapor-X I wouldn't have even given it a
second thought.It's a no brainer........
