Hey guys,

Title describes it all,
Basically time to upgrade the ol' mouse, have a Microsoft Sidewinder X6.
Great mouse never gave a single problem, But I need something new.
If anyone has some ideas on some mouses or have one and had great experiences with it, please post ITT.

Thanks guys,
MilkMan

Ahhhh Wireless, not too fond of that, don't wanna be replacing sh!t when I am in a game.
And they're quite more expensive ):

I have tried many mice over the years and have found the Saitek Range to be the most comfortable, responsive units to date
If you don't want to spend a lot, look at getting the R.A.T 5, if you have a bit more to spend, go for the R.A.T 7

Both are Wired and both track on almost any surface imaginable and come packed with all the features you could need for gaming

Thanks iGame man :P
I was actually looking into the Cyborg mouses such as R.A.T 7 and R.A.T 9
Which would you rate would be a better mouse and why?

If you are looking for Wired then the 7 is the way to go
Both of them have the same weight system and extendable grip surface, but the 9 is Wireless, which is not what you were looking for

Its all about budget.
Give me an idea of how much you're willing to spend.

As for the R.A.T's they are really decent mice but I have had a few come back with issues, so def not the most reliable mouse out there.
Much better than Razer crap though.

I have a RAT 7, best 'mouse' i have ever owned. Use it for programming and for gaming and works wonders. The software also works on OS X which is important to me, and so far as i have seen, it is one of very few that have OS X support.

Got it for R800 from zapsonline best price i could find it for.

Personally, I am buying a Logitech G400 soon, it's the new MX518 but with some additional features.

Awesome mouse...

I would swear by my Razer Naga...but lately it seems to have a mind of its own... just feeling possessed at times.

I've been doing research for a while now. Looking for the perfect mouse for me. There's quite a range out there. Although the kind of mice I want are not found in SA. :( Here are some questions you should ask yourself:

1. Should it be ambidextrous?
2. How many buttons do I want?
3. Color scheme?
4. DPI sensor range? Laser or other sensor?
5. How big is it? Do i hold a mouse claw style or what?
6. Does my hand sweat easily? In that case, does the mouse come with a rubber coating?
7. Does response time matter to me?
8. Will I use the mouse for things other then gaming? Designing maybe?

Not in that order though... but still good to know exactly what you want.

I got the Logitech G400 for christmas and I can honestly say with all seriousness and a fake British accent that it is.......'the shiznizzles'
I recommend highly.
