Looks like the PS4's have landed in South Africa.

You won't find one on display of yet, beacuse they will not put a R6000 console on display if they are rare and everyone wants one.

yeah that too, but the guy at dion wired said they would rather not open one for display as it's one less "new" console they will sell, as stock is an issue at the moment.

Ja here in the gardenroute I haven't seen a console or even a game. I was in Cape Town last week and didn't see any there either.

but the others like me its quite hard to remain in top25

Pfft... at least you're in the top 25.

Most places iv been into that are advertising the PS4 only have games, no actual consoles... Except Musica Sandton... But id love to see one plugged in and someone playing...

Most likely because South Africa was only allocated a limited number of units at launch?

then what do they usually put on display if not new?

What I meant by that is, one less console to sell. The one on display will be a demo model, which will probably not be sold to the public ( maybe on some clearance day or internally to the staff for much cheaper)

Ooo I see, so when they have to put something on display , they open a new one

Well technically they should get a display model from the supplier... But i think Xiphan is correct, too little stock to warrant display models...

But what is the difference between a display model from the supplier and a new one.

The display model isnt part of their paid for stock... And its usually returned to the supplier after the promotional period...

And of course it has a warranty...

Why return it to the supplier when they can return it to me :D

Hmmm... why?

Do i really need to explain this? :D

A sony product... Plugged into a Samsung TV... Get it now?

@ Blaai, Ya that doesnt surprise me... If you spend the cash on an 85" UHD TV a PS4 is the least they can do...
