LTE Gaming

I get local fps ping of 78ms with a 3g dongle on a farm outside Sedgefield, so I'm quite happy. LTE should be much better but it all depends on your coverage and what kind of congestion there is on the tower you are using.

I'm in Honeydew and use LTE. I don't play online games though so I don't really know if it's feasible. I did however play Portal 2 and that worked well. I also played Diablo III with just plain 3G and that was great sometimes and other times not so great. Back then I was using Cell C and had tons of problems.

Like I said, hombre I know has LTE and we play BF4 and Dota together rather often. Have yet to hear complaints of atrocious lag due to the connection type; so there's that

Iv also played plenty D3 with a 3G connection and that was good... but i am worried about other games, as D3 doesn't really need a strong internet connection...

Having problems with Telkom now still billing me for my ADSL line even though its suspended... Have to cancel that before i can start a new deal with them...

Well if you playing Hardcore mode you definitely want ADSL as you cannot do it with any lag or d/c or you lose your character for good.

In all honesty i didnt even consider a Hardcore Character for exactly that reason... I could play for like 50 hours problem free, and then bam... 50 hours down the drain... IT happened to a mate of mine, even with his ADSL line... He got some lag, his screen froze, and his lvl 45 hardcore barb was a ghost...

I also did not play hardcore too even though my line is good I hate seeing my hard work going down the drain :D.

Could you screencap his ping when you guys play again?
 
Thats why I played my hardcore character on ps3, offline no lag issues.
Couldn't even imagine losing a lvl 50 hardcore character because of lag, the rage would be all consuming.

High ping perhaps but he doesn't lag at all. Regularly outscores me. Matter of fact his service is more stable than mine own...I have Telkom "whistling:

And that is only with BF4; haven't asked him about other FPS's
