We all eat lunch, I think.

So do you bring lunch to work or do you go out for lunch. I've heard of this thing where people drive somewhere else to have lunch. Sounds like a waste of time spending half your lunch break in traffic.

I bring lunch to work, mostly leftovers. And I mostly eat in front of the PC (like I am doing now, eating stir-fry.)

What do you guys do?

Since my school obligations end at 1, unless I have close-by or important callouts I go home for lunch. Usually I have 2 hotdogs and a large cup of tea, sometimes I have leftovers....but mostly hotdogs...the spar hotdogs, Enterprise is shite :p
 
I'm in walking distance, so I go home and make a hot nutritious meal. Get my main intake of carbs, protein and veggies for the day.

Usually chicken or pork, rice, pasta or potatoes, and whatever frozen veggies were on sale... This week, I'm eating in my living room squeezing in a bit of ME:Andromeda if I can.
 
Depends on where I am the day. At one specific client I eat anything I could bring from home on their balcony, or go out for Nandos (me and one of my devs there have kind of a ritual regarding Nandos). When I need to put crunch time in on a project at home, I eat whatever is available (but mostly skip lunch and rather do a late breakfast). When I'm on the road seeing clients I'll either skip lunch or just stop and grab something wherever is closest.

So I don't really have a set lunch routine.
 
We get lunch (and brought to our desks) at work.


.... believe me, it's not as glamorous as it sounds.
 
Is it weird that I don't ever eat breakfast...? I'm THAT addicted to sleeping late that I'd rather lie an extra 10 minutes, and then get up, dress, brush teeth and go. :D

Yeah, I can't wake and eat. I only get ansie for food around 10ish.
 
I almost always bring food from home to eat at work, since there aren't a lot of options once I am at work.
I'm also so damn busy most days, that I don't have time to go out and get some lunch. So if I don't have some lunch with me already, then I just don't eat anything.
 
I tend to go home for lunch, because I go and make myself a fruit smoothie. It helps that I am only 10mins from home, so I rather go out and get some air so as not to kill people.

Fruit smoothie consist of: various fruit like plums, peaches, mango, pineapple, pear, papaya. Some nice yogurt, I prefer parmalat apricot or strawberry. With some ice :D

Blend it all and bring it to work
 
Monday: Egg mayo on rolls
Tuesday: Cheese and tomato sarmies
Wednesday: Tunay mayo sarmies
Thusday: Smoked chicken mayo sarmies
Friday: Toasted cheese and tomato

All provided the option of white/brown bread.

Coffee and tea provided as well.
 
I'm always able to be home for lunch so it's usually whatever is available in the house, sometimes leftovers otherwise I often make myself a salad. I quite enjoy putting together different combinations. Today is a good one since there's a packet of biltong in the cupboard - nice biltong salad!
 
whatever I can shove into my face hole when I hunger, leftovers are rare lately ( I don't know where you guys get the energy to cook )

I have been trying to have muesli with double thick plain yogurt for lunch, I don't do breakfast usually.

reading this thread makes me feel guilty for not being healthier *munches on hand me down chicken nuggets from colleague who just went home*

Oh and if we go out to site, we usually have breakfast at the wimpy along the way because there ain't no way you gonna get food on site.
 
I wrote a reply to this earlier today and never posted it. :( Stupid busy work. Will tell the story tomorrow if I can.
