I see it went up to overwhelmingly positive ratings on steam. Waiting for Takealot to deliver my copy.
 
I just came here to say the game looks incredible. Absolutely gorgeous. The transition between cutscene and gameplay is seamless, I haven't seen such high production values in a video game in a LONG time. I think I might be in love with this game...

EDIT: And it plays buttery smooth on ULTRA settings on my laptop (MSI GS70 with GTX970m).

Seconded! Had about 30 mins to run through the intro screens and mission, and am well happy. Must be honest, I did have some nervousness when that WB logo first appeared, with images of Batman flashing through my head, but Mad Max seems to be really well optimised and running well. Cant wait for the weekend to spend some decent time with it. Witness me!

What a coincidence, it plays at Ultra on my PS4 too (at least it will when I get it) :p


Found this to be quite interesting, seems like valid points but I'll still get it regardless.

Always a funny man, eh? :p I bet you'll end up paying at least double what I did though - got it for R300 with the GMG 40% discount and some credit I had with them. ;)

On a serious note, just get the game on any platform! It will look and play great either way. I can't wait to scour this wasteland over the weekend!
 
So anyone else got some person reviews yet ? I downloaded it over night, itching to play just not sure when I'll get the chance
 
Looking forward to giving it a go tonight after work. Had to download a 10gb "update" after installing from the discs last night.
 
I played about 2 hours last night. It's awesome. Combat is super satisfying and the world looks amazing. Harpooning people is so much fun. Can't wait to properly start playing tonight.
 
It's pretty cool. So far it doesn't fall into the same trap Shadow of Mordor did, in that that game got ridiculously easy a few hours in.
 
Woo, managed to clock a few hours in last night!
Have to say, the controller schemes needed a bit of getting used to. Very different from previous 3rd person actions.
Especially that shooting button is in the place of dodge :p

Driving is rather responsive, so don't know what the critics were on about.
A starting heap of junk vehicle won't handle like a twin-turbo CL63 AMG lol

Going to go hermit mode this weekend.
 
Yeah i was worried the handling might be the same as in JC2 but its actually quite manageable. Its' the first thing I'm gonna upgrade on my car though.
