Madden NFL 10 looks too good to be true?

NFL to me has been a very complicating game itself... i dunno how they managed to get it into a video game though :p Rugby on the other hand is so much easier to work with lol... :D
 
Yeah this does look a bit too real. I didn't know that EA were doing that. I never really enjoy these sort of sports games. I love racing and snowboarding type of games though. I'll pass on NFL and Rugby.

Syco, Football is a truely awesome sport! I love it, and it's not TOO complicated :p
 
Hmm Golf I can maybe believe, but American football, with all those players, the crowd, lights, high pace etc, I find it very difficult to believe that current gen consoles can render it as realistically as the screenshot depicts

Exactly it would be too much for a single console to handle and lets put it this way gaming companies wouldnt rush that far into developing there games as to say that its extremely realistic.... what would happen when games get released now and all look realistic then what.... they have to make their money step by step... I think its a hoax even for a sports game...
 
Are they not trying to get away with it by having a screenie of the intro / cutscene video?
 
Thats probably exactly what they are doing. The shots just look too real for a console to handle. Lets wait till we can see some real in game videos and things to get the real answer.
 
Best ever American football game was Blitz, nothing will ever beat it!!
As for this title, it looks wicked but its gonna be ultra insane on the mind(playes ect.)
Considering we in SA don't play football and therefor we don't know the rules ect.!!
 
You read right! Make your game look better by putting up spiced up screenies = more customers = more cash = your aim achieved!
 
Yep, looks good to me. I mean, just check your local diner / spur / wimpy's menu...
When you receive your meal, does it look like the one on the menu? :D

+ I think these are cut scenes / in-game movies of the game, not actual play. These guys are crazy with their editing, I saw videos where the video and audio parts were being edited, quite interesting...
They have models that do the moves and then they edit it to make a tackle look more mean for instance, head snapping at insane levels, etc.
 
But doesnt the ter "screen shot" refer to in game footage, and not cut scene footage? Otherwise there is absolutely no value in a screen shot.

I didn't even mention it because I thought no one here would know what I meant. NFL Blits was the SHHHH****TT!! I loved that game. It was so high paced and unrealistic that it was just insanly awesome :) :) hahaha

Dude its one of my all time fav sport games, its absolutly brilliant:D:D
 
I think i would enjoy watching the game if I could understand what was going on in it.... I enjoy football based movies and other sports movies but watching actual games grills me when i dunno what to think and whos in the right side or the off side etc... :p
 
Screen shots are supposed to be in game footage, not a cut scene pic.
Gaming companies have done screenies of cut scenes since the stone age.
