Mass Effect 3 Thread

It seems it is true that the MP is required to achieve the full ending... luckily the MP is fun.
My galactic readiness is currently at 72%. I think I'm going to finish the game now and then finish again after achieving 100% galactic readiness... just to see what the difference is.

My galactic readiness is 92%. :D

The MP also made me realise what an awesome class the Sentinel is. I'm really sorry I chose to go for a Soldier.

Yeah, but I decided to try a game and it got me hooked. Also, there's a lack of text chat, so that effectively removes most of the sucky part of the human element.

First playthrough complete.
Based on the ending though, I'm not really sure how the "galactic readiness" can affect it.

How the hell are you guys finishing it in one weekend? I reckon it's going to take me the rest of the week to complete...

Normal, Casual or Narrative difficulty? I personally opted for Insanity and loving it.

Im 22 hours in, at level 49 or something, and Im taking my sweet time. Rushing through a game like Mass Effect should be considered a Capital Crime. I estimate that I am about half way through.

Oh yeah I forgot most MP PC games have text chat that most people spent more time ranting on than actually playing the game. I don't have that problem on Console.

Playing on normal. I'm around 20 - 22 hours in and at about level 44. I'm also very much taking my time with everything atm, just taking it all in. I was briefly distracted by the MP, but I wouldn't have been much closer to finishing anyway.

I considered playing a bit of MP then decided to hold off and wait for a few friends to join and then do it as a team.

I decided to start fresh since I lost all my old saves. Doing it story mode and loving it. Also had loads of fun via the MP as well. Just a pity about my router which is busy dying on me. Kept getting disconnected all weekend, drove me insane.

Still going strong on the SP first play through as an Adept and loving it! Going to be fun doing it all again as a renegade :D

Thx to Waco, Isengard and Wyvren for the MP matches :P Was great fun getting slapped silly like that. Can't wait to import my ME3 character into the MP side of things.

Normal, level 55, and very little-to-no sleep. Hardly "rushing through" considering I got my readiness up to pretty much as close as it can be sans Multiplayer.

Saw you playing this weekend. Slightly confused, so you need to play MP to get the best ending? Damn I was going to leave till i finished SP, not a big deal I guess, just everytime I play now I kind of want to carry one with the story.

Also are you using the Kinect?

You don't NEED to play the MP games to raise the Galactic Readiness Level, you can complete the side quests to the same effect. I'm on 60% readiness but the bar showing effectiveness is already filled.

True that!

However the side quests have been really fun and I loved meeting all the previous characters again.

So far the best moment in the game was on the Krogan homeworld where a certain Nutty Professor does his thing. A lot more of these little moments quickly add up to you realising the galaxy is in need of a helping hand :) I would love to see how the game choices change when you didn't import your ME1+2 character. Back story would take a bit of a hit I think, not a deal breaker but I love how their own stories are resolved now.

Hehe. I played from about 8 on Friday night to about 2. Then most of saturday and almost all of sunday. Me and the wife went out cycling as she was starting to feel neglected. Im pretty glad its not over yet. According to my Save I've played 22 odd hours. According to Raptr i've played 27. Insanity is not advices for new characters, though once I got my Mattock back and strapped some sweet mods on its become easier. Currently saving for the Black Widow Anti-material Rifle :D

I must admit the only combat/balancing tweak I dont like is the frakking grenades - I've been killed more by freaking nades than anything else in the game & they are shit to use. I don't think I've killed anything with it.

The MP helps, like Nimatek said, but you can achieve the same results, though at it will take longer, simply by doing the SP's N7 quests which basically takes place on the MP maps.

My Kinect is still in SA so nope, Im just using a regular old controller.

Im more curious to see how certain party members not surviving the Suicide Mission in ME2 would Impact ME3, particularly Thane & Mordin.
