Mass Effect: Andromeda

Got a copy as a gift so I guess I'll be trying it out this weekend with an open mind. I really hope it's not too much like DA:I.

I loved all three. Inquisition had lot of filler content that wasn't necessary but you can skip it. The story and character development are outstanding though.

That's the only reason I'm still playing, trying to get to the good bits. Unfortunately the completionist in me is pushing to get that ubisoft content done and I end up getting bored. I'm 10 hours in and still doing stupid stuff in the Hinterlands. Hopefully Andromeda has more meaningful side quests like they mentioned earlier this year.

Hehe you haven't really started the main game yet. Once you get further you'll see what I mean. I've got 156 hours in Inquisition. Like you, I did everything. :) You really need to get out of the Hinterlands.

But yes, I also hope for less fillers and more meaningful story quests.

TBH, ME:A reminds me a lot of Inquisition but not necessarily in a bad way. I've only played the trial so far but it didn't have even a 10th of the filler content that Inquisition had on its first planet.
 
Okay that sounds promising. I hope the modding community will be able to fix up the character creation like they did with DA:I. Didn't like much of the default options I ended up using her as my main.

Gonna take about 9 hours to download using the office interwebs tonight.

Can't wait for Telkom to finish installing fibre in our complex.
 
Mine finished downloading today. I thought it will take all week but then my LTE connection jumped to 3MB/s this morning and killed a lot of the time. My Origin / Steam is on a different OS than my work so I need to restart to resume the download while I'm not working. Can't wait for the weekend.

Good luck with that. Telkom finished installing fibre in our estate at the end of November already and we're still waiting for it to be connected so we can start ordering. I've pre-ordered but still have no ETA because they can't do anything until Telkom connect the site.

Meh we got very unlucky with fiber, MTN was put in :(
 
Let me know when anyone want to hook up for multiplayer. I'll probably only play single player tonight but I'm keen to play multiplayer since I loved ME3's MP.

I'll be up for it next weekend. First want to work through the single player a bit this weekend.
 
I've played just over 3 hours now and so far I'm loving it! Haven't had any bugs or problems and my only gripe is the character creator.

I also did the first multiplayer tutorial. My plan is to play a couple of hours single player tonight and then continue with the multiplayer tutorials and then maybe tomorrow sometime try out the actual multiplayer.
