I know it's an old game and all, but what's your guy's opinion on it? With Mass Effect 2 around the corner, I've only started getting into it now as I wasn't too keen on it when I started playing. The more I play, the more I like :)

I have a level 6 character so far.
 
Its a good game but doesn't measure up to some of Bioware's either games. Side quests and the no major planets were a big let down. The second dlc was also very poor in terms of rpg elements.

I would give it a 7/10.
 
Yeah I enjoyed it played trough it 3 times and must say don't want to do it again, since the story is mostly the same no matter what dialogue you choice. There are some places that it does differ but not so much.
But so looking forward to the mass effect 2 I mean The Normany can't go down I WONT LET IT GO DOWN :p
I am level 46 and just waiting so I can port him into ME2
 
Mass Effect is a great game! I loved the lore and the characters. I never got bored with it either. So yes, I am looking forward to Mass Effect 2. :)
 
I started replaying ME the other day. Got as far as Finishing the first mission, uninstalled and played COD4 :p
 
8.8/10 for me

PC version is a good port, story is good. Graphics are a bit dated now, but it runs well even on low end PCs.

I also skipped many side missions as it got monotonous, cash was also pointless. But you should do certain side missions since some actually affect the story.
 
Loved the game.

Gripes:
Repetitive, cut and paste side missions.
Unrewarding love scene.
Short main quest.
Generic weapons.
Clunky combat mechanics.
 
I did half the side quests, then got bored of them, so just followed the main quest and was finished before I knew it. Still, I enjoyed the ride though. If only they put as much attention into the side quests as they did the main quest.

lol yeah but I was going for the normal gaming hours :)

Well my first play trough I was level 12 so yeah its possible to finish the game that early...
