Max Payne 3 - eventually

Don't know if this has been mentioned somewhere already (didn't see anything here), but it seems that the March 2012 released date has been confirmed for this game in the past week.
Also, today the first official trailer will be released at 14:00 (in eastern time... whenever that is)

I suppose the trailer will be made available at http://www.rockstargames.com/maxpayne3/ where they currently have a placeholder image for the trailer I assume.

Looking forward to seeing some ingame action eventually.. Seeing as though all we have seen are the new (fatter) Max Payne in screen shots :D
 
I just hope that Rockstar keep the same dark, gritty atmosphere as the previous two games. The screens seems to implicate that, but hopefully the trailer will clarify. As long as the same storytelling method is used, with Max being the narrator! :)
 
I finally get to see if this game will live up to the name, since it's not being developed by Remedy anymore. Though this is Rockstar we are talking about, so I'm cautiously optimistic that this might actually be good. I guess we'll find out tonight.
 
I just never got into the previous two...not sure why. Just something lacking.

Maybe this trailer and in game action will convince me that this one is a winner.

I'm looking forward to seeing what rockstar has planned for us :D
 
well, they had a good thing going with LA Noir, Red Dead Redemption, GTA, so, can't wait for Max...
can't wait to see the slomo gameplay in action...

I see LA Noire is also coming to PC in November so I'll probably be getting that as well.
 
Trailer is available now... Just saw it. Not a big fan of the bald look, but I think the game is going to be great regardless (as if a character's hair style has ever made a game bad).

So Mass Effect 3 and Max Payne 3 for March and Prototype 2 for April... It is going to be a hectic two months.
 
Well, I cant make a judgement based on the video, but the game has lost its dark noir look. Guess I will wait for some more footage, specifically gameplay.
 
That is impressive footage... It looks really good. Have to agree with Isengard its doesnt have the same dark look it the last two had. Hopefully it doesnt take away from Max...

That's what I was afraid of. I sincerely hope this is just what the first impressions look like, and it hasn't really lost that niche when it comes to the game play and the story telling elements.

Damnit, I at work and all videos are blocked. I really want to see this damn trailer!!! :mad:
 
Looks like March is gonna be another busy period for games. Why does MP have to shave his head? Dandruff? I'm not crazy about the look. On the plus side, sounds like James McCaffrey (of Viper fame) is back for the voice :)

Let's just hope Rockstar get this kind of feedback from all over the place (which I think they will), and do something about it!

I second that PatPion. The atmosphere, Max being the narrator and the gameplay (including bullet time) is what made this game great for me.
