Max Payne 3 PC system requirements unveiled

So let me point out the obvious logic in my argument, by posing the following question :

At this point in time, is either Max Payne 1 & 2 or even The Witcher 2 PC Exclusives?

Spoiler : No, because they are available on other platforms as well.

I think he's just pointing out that they were initially PC exclusives and then later were ported to consoles, unlike 90% of games today which are either developed simultaneously or ported to PC at a later stage.

50 Points to Isengard.

Yeah I can understand it from that perspective, but even so it's a bit of useless information which doesn't have any relevance apart from the effect that it has on the games' SDLC at that point in time.

Waving the exclusive flag like it somehow insinuates that it will be a "better" product is a bit daft.

PC to console ports are always better than Console to Pc ports. That is a fact.

Um, marketing is very important these days.

Marketing only influences perception and awareness, it doesn't influence the quality of the product at the end of the day.

Indirectly it does. The more hype that is generated around a game pushing it up in wish lists etc the more money is pumped into the game, refining it and making sure it doesn't disappoint those new customers that may be playing the ip for the first time

Wowowo, so much arguing about one post :O

But yeah, Isengard nailed what I was saying. Excuse my futile expression.

So all this arguing about "exclusive". It goes both ways these days.

Following a lengthy beta test on the Xbox 360, Alan Wake did rather well on PC. So well that the game’s so far console-only expansion, American Nightmare, will be snort-waking and grasping for its PC teddy bear soon.

Still deciding whether to get MP3 for the console or PC. More than likely the PC tho since my PC is still holding up nicely to these specs. That and it'll be cheaper. :)

This has been one of the more interesting threads to stalk today. Lots of arguing. This is good.

I am amped for this...jeez I remember playing MP1+2 back in the day on my Pentium 4, along with Hitman. I got so nostalgic that I am starting to look at building a decently priced rig in the next few months to play this (screw the console version, I need to play this on PC)...ok, maybe this and SimCity next year.

Wow, it still supports the Nvidia 8600? That is one old-ass card. I didn't know any recent games still supported Nvidia cards with more than 3 numbers in the model name. :p

Still, 35 GB? What the hell are they packing in that game? MMO's aside (although I can't even think of any MMO that's that big), that's quite possibly the biggest space requirement a game has ever had. That said, it's probably just saying 35gb, but actually only uses about 20gb disk space. Like Space Marine's 20gb requirement, when the game is only really about 8gb.

35 GB is rather shocking... If it actually has a lot of HD content then it sensible, unlike Star Wars Force Unleashed 1 that is 26GB and is anything but HD. One of the shittiest ports ever.
