Medical dagga bill tabled; cancer-stricken MP doesn't smoke, uses marijuana suppository

Terminally-ill IFP MP Mario Oriano-Ambrosini, who is stricken with late-stage lung cancer, says unconventional and illegal medical treatment has extended his life expectancy.

Briefing the media at Parliament on Thursday, he confirmed what he told MPs in the National Assembly the day before -- that he was using marijuana, also known as dagga, medically.

However, he was not smoking it.

Well up the pie-hole or smoked I'd imagine if it provides a form of relief then who really gives a crap? Well he most likely does with that form of delivery...

Of course you should not be providing this to those unable to think for themselves (age is hard to pin down with a majority of the population in the world being rather thick - more so here locally too) however if you are of age (I'd say at LEAST 21) then you should be able to do whatever it is that you like to yourself. Sadly there will always be the "they're not informed" crowd followed (if not leading) by the "it's just not right and we want to show our power" bit that will try and stop anything that they deem inappropriate. Freedom to decide for ourselves but only under guidelines I guess.

I received treatment that extended my life expectancy beyond what the statistics say. I am now in the 0.01 percent survival rate because of doctors who administered bicarbonate of soda to me in my thoracic cavity, and did so illegally.

What they hell is a thoracic cavity I ask you (hopefully not some cavity that refers to the rear)?
Okay so I looked it up (making sure I wasn't stuck on 'image search'...just because you know).
Here (wonderful wikipedia) provides some more insight:

The thoracic cavity (or chest cavity) is the chamber of the human body (and other animal bodies) that is protected by the thoracic wall (thoracic cage and associated skin, muscle, and fascia).

The thoracic area includes the tendons as well as the cardiovascular system which could be damaged from injury to the back, spine or the neck.
