Turn 10 Studios has pulled the curtain back on the cover for this fall's Forza Motorsport 4.

Shining its sleek headlights from the cover of the game is the Ferrari 458 Italia. Creative Director Dan Greenawalt from Turn 10 says the 458 "has the ideal blend of style, creative flair, cutting-edge technology and power that makes it just as gorgeous to look at as it is thrilling to take to the track."

In addition to the powerhouse on the cover, Turn 10 has revealed the existence of "Profile Import." This feature takes your Forza 3 player level and based on that number, gifts cars to your Forza 4 garage, in addition to other "bonus gifts and credits." Also, the liveries and layers from the Forza 3 editor can also be brought into the new game.

Turn 10 also mentioned their pre-order partnerships with different retailers and the car bonuses that come with them.

Amazon - Subaru Impreza WRX STI
Best Buy - BMW 1 Series M Coupe
GameStop - Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde
Wal-Mart - MINI John Cooper Works Clubman
Target - Honda CR-Z EX

And the last batch of info is a limited car pack that comes with early orders of the game. This car pack is called the "Ship Bonus" and includes:

Ford Mustang GT Coupe 1965
Koenigsegg Agera 2011
Lexus SC300 1997
RUF RGT-8 2011
Tesla Roadster Sport 2011

Stay tuned for more Forza Motorsport 4 info from E3 2011.

Yeah there is a new edition out now selling for R299. Well worth it dude.

Definitely picking up Forza 4 when it comes out.

my only issue with this new forza 3 with all the DLC is that it doesnt include the VIP cars... but on the plus side... i can cruise around in my green '11 GTR now :D I IS HAP!!

Took me quite a while to click that they weren't talking about PGR. But hey, another Forza would be fun.
I can certainly understand the use of the 458 on the cover. That "car" is a technological masterpiece (when its not on fire). I'm sure they want to convey that Forza4 will also be amazing (though not quite the fireball). Poor GT5, hardly even out and their main competitor is receiving an upgrade :)

I can't to see if they will use the kinect & how they incorparate it.

I still prefer using the normal control to drive but..
Imagine using your hands to do upgrades & decals.

Peace "B"

Ha, I wonder if the 458 will also randomly catch fire in the game? :p

That said those ingame screenies look incredible!

Some more Info

The creators of "Forza," Turn 10 Studios, say that they have modeled tire-related properties, such as weight transfer, and have incorporated proprietary performance data from tire manufacturer Pirelli into "Forza 4." The result, the company says, is the most up-to-date simulation of how modern tires grip or slip in a variety of racing conditions.

"Forza 4" may end up raising the bar when it comes to re-creating a track. According to Turn 10, developers rented out each track that appears in the game for two to three days, shooting terabytes worth of video and photos, and tracing the inside, middle and outside portions of the road surface with a commercial-grade GPS system. The resulting map detects road crowning, tiny changes in camber, or angle, and other anomalies with subcentimeter accuracy, all of which can be coded into the game for even more realism.

it appears tracks wont just be ported over from F3

Forza 4 Cars to be Revealed Daily

Effective immediately Turn 10 will regularly announce the vehicles that are set to feature in the upcoming Forza Motorsport 4. How regularly? Daily, apparently.

As detailed over at the official Forza Motorsport 4 website Turn 10 has launched the Forza Garage series and plans to announce cars each day via Facebook and Twitter. Based on the community response Turn 10 may increase the number of cars it announces.

New to the series: The original 1993 McLaren F1 (not to be confused with Forza 3's 1997 McLaren F1 GT)

Each Thursday Turn 10 will publish a roundup of the vehicles exposed during the week on forzamotorsport.net.
The first five cars unveiled through the new Forza Garage contain few surprises (and four of them are returning rides from Forza Motorsport 3) but are only the tip of the iceberg in a game promising 500+ cars. They are:

1993 McLaren F1
2009 Ferrari California
2009 Alfa Romeo Brera Italia Independent
2008 Lamborghini Reventon
1995 Ferrari F50
