Ah ... I saw the initial discussion thread, but I missed the poll. I haven't been actively browsing the forum much lately - just checking back on most of my subscribed threads.

Shouldn't we perhaps consider doing something like this on a more regular and organised basis? Then we can have bunch of categories (Member of the Year, Newbie of the Year, Most Helpful, Funniest etc) we can nominate people for each of them - and I'm sure James can come up with some sort of incentive to get people to vote.

I've seen a couple of forums pull this off successfully - although there's quite a group effort involved, so whether the effort will be worth it is debatable, but it would be a nice way to get the community involved.

Just a thought :)

This is a cool idea. Someone in the community should take initiative on this :)

I think James is putting it in our grubby paws. So if we want it, we gotta do it ourselves.

Fair enough - I'll toy around with some ideas - a discussion thread may or may not pop up sometime soon :p
