Messing around with UE4 - Who would like info?

Did you model and animate that character from the youtube vid? Damn, dont show me stuff like that, throws my whole day out of wack. I was learning to use maya a few years back, got busy at work and neglected it....so keen to start again.

HHAHAHA! I found my old first time animation! (Please dont point and laugh....)

Depends what the extended features are...

Did you go with the once off route or are you paying monthly?

The extended features is more, if your technically sound you can do such beautiful things here are some examples of some of the work some people are doing:- *Non of the links below are any of my work but work done within the UE4 community

Below are flat surfaces with great texturing, using the texture maps (Normal, Diffuse and alpha UV's)

This is my personal favourite:-
"final surface texture will have a 65,536 Pixel-Resolution around the equator, and be completely seamless."

I didn't pay last month, paid this month as there was little bugs that was slowing my dev process. (For eg. one blueprint was duplicating my components, so I had to close and re-open UE4 everytime.)

Nope the animating ,modelling, texturing, physics and rigging was all my brothers work.
Dude, thats ten times better than what I could ever produce, understand Skeleton and rigging is rather complicated. Why don't you start again?
Wouldn't mind importing your animation and character if you want?(That's if you still have the asset)

I should have it somewhere. Will check this evening when I get home...

Must seriously put aside time to start again. I've forgotten so much....funny thing is, moving around in Maya is like 2nd nature. I would sit down, feel confused, play around a bit and then stuff would come back.

Cool dude, pm me if you wanna put it in UE4.
LOL...I know that feeling, when I was doing a door entry system and the door was lying down, I felt extremely confused but then it came to me and fixed it. It's just a weird thing.

Are you downloading UDK or UE4? UDK isn't supported anymore so if I were you I'd rather go with UE4 from the get go.

Right so I was working right through december and got whenever I was home, continued developing stuff:-

Here's a screenshot of a wall I made to project whatever is infront of it:-

What I have managed to create so far:-

Main menu system
Player status (Health/Energy/Hunger (Hidden status : Mood))
Inventory Main menu (Still work in progress, Items adding to array but the bind for the texture2d is not showing the item) - WIP
Action menu (When clicking an Item, gives you options, to drop, cancel or use/eat)

AI
Basic AI to go from point A to point B at a press of a command (Will be extended once I have more time)

Multiplayer main menu (UI has been designed, but functionality is not 100% setup)
3rd person camera (Zoom In/Out working)
1st person (Is there however need to fix movement problem)

I'm hoping maybe by April I can have something to distribute for friends to try and hopefully I could do some Tutorials. Even got thinking of making a weekly development series of things I'm creating and tutorials on how I fixed certain bugs.
