Wow there's some awesome looking games to come out this year!

There just isn't enough time for them all.

The most exciting games this year will probably be Indie titles - or at least kickstarter games. The first batch of kickstarter projects should be arriving soon; lots of room for surprises, and of course disappointment. But at least we can now hand-pick our disappointments ;)

meh too bad the new aliens was a bust

Yeah, and in my opinion it deserves to fail, to show a "demo" before release that looks way better than the final product is disgusting. If anything something should look better than the early demo they played, not worse.

The only game I'm currently considering getting on release in that list is watch dogs, but maybe we being mislead again with the demo we were shown :P. will have to wait and see. The rest I keen for, just can wait with the huge backlog i currently have of 2012 games.

EDIT: And Rome Total war 2, Rome was my favourite in the series.

Definitely total war...played the crap out of Shogun 2 and fall of the samurai...best strategy games out there IMO. Didn't like Rome very much, couldn't zoom out far enough and the 2004 graphics put me off a bit.

In 2004 it didn't put me off that much :P

Is metacritic still relevant?

I think most review sites aren't really relevant. One thing that I do pay a fraction of attention to is the user score section of Metacritic. The comments of them can help filter out troll posts, but I often can gauge a game by reading some legitimate user posts.
