How to unlock Quiet:

Quiet is a Buddy in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. She is Metal Gear 5's primary female protagonist and fights alongside Snake throughout much of MGS 5.

She is a sniper with extraordinary mobility and stealth powers. Base level Quiet can scout out encampments, or take attack positions overwatching bases from the mission map. She will intervene if you find yourself in danger of discovery.

Quiet can be upgraded by trust level to take commands, targeting specific foes with the L1 and coordinating with grenade attacks.

Quiet can also upgrade her gear, adding, among other abilities, a non-lethal rifle option useful on Child Soldier missions and for capture.

I have a question, since I don't have the game yet. If you miss something like that, is it possible to replay the mission later and get it, or do you only get one chance?

you can replay every mission in order to get what you may have missed, an an option to get a better rank/score.

I sneaked into a base in the cover of dark got the prisoner but then morning arrived and I was stuck in the centre surrounded by enemy's,so I thought I would wait till nightfall to sneak out again but a few minutes later a sandstorm occurred and I picked up my buddy and high tailed it out of there.Thank god for dynamic weather.Once I got a Russian translator I overheard some guards talking about a quiet naked women.

Ye theres about 5 criteria per mission in order to get S rank so you can return and get those that you missed.

Watching that last part with Old Snake and Big Boss (MGS4) gave me cold shivers. Wow man. Its amazing how this story is coming together.

This game gave me my first ever migraine yesterday. That'll teach me to play morning to night with minimal breaks [emoji14].

For those that are substantially further into the game: are there ever any significant 'indoor' missions. Enjoying the open world but I kind of miss some of the large indoor bases featured in the previous linear titles.

I'm a little over 20 hours in and the answer to your question is unfortunately no. It's all been outdoor sneaking so far.

I'm also around 20 or more hours in, I don't think there are any indoor area, but this is Afghanistan. Though there are some large built up bases which require some indoor warfare, one I came across last was almost like a prison. Was quite entertaining, getting in isn't really an issue, it's finding the exit strategy that is.

I haven't acquired Quiet as yet

Oh, and I know when in Africa, the locals speak Afrikaans. So no need to capture a translator for us locals

I found it really funny and even after getting the translator I still forget to read the subtitles because I understand what they are saying.

I think I have all the buddies at this point and so far D-Dog is my favorite, he is so bloody useful.

So far I've extracted a bear, two wolves and whole ot of sheep! I don't have a zoo as yet.
