Yeah, call a chopper to pick you up then select another platform. Alternatively, you can use the delivery platforms as well, package yourself up and FedEx :D

Don't use the chopper if you want to fast travel, use it if you want to slow travel. Cardboard box trick is 10x faster. :D

Yes, but the chopper allows for some awesome music as well and some nice visuals. Also, you can scope out your base and spot diamonds this way ;)

Ha! Cool! Gonna try that! :D

This also works in the open world, as long as you've collected the invoice from the selected delivery locals.

damn all of you! i am broke. but this game is sounding super awesome! :( I have a weakness for Sandbox games. Loving Mad Max and worried that it i get MGS it will steal my free time away from MM.

It's pure awesome :D. I'm only on mission 10, with about 30 hours play time. Love doing all the side ops, replaying missions to get the optional objectives and building up my mother base. Think my completion is sitting at 20%.

It will steal your time. I'm torn between the 2 every time I sit down to play something. I made a decision to leave MGS alone until I've put sufficient time into Mad Max. I'm only 6 hours in though... Still only in the second area, so will only get back to MGS in a couple of months' time.

Will I be able to enjoy the game and follow the story without knowing the absurdly convoluted backstory f the series ?

Yes of course.

Watch the previous two video I've posted on character bio on Revolver Ocelot and Solid Snake "Big Boss" to add little more context. Alternatively, if you really want. Look up the story of Ground Zeroes, as that is a prologue to Phantom Pain. *(kinda)

It really is cool trying out new strategies while replaying mission's also Quiet becomes really cool once you upgrade her weapons.
