Is it wise spending money on a game you already own - just for possible graphic improvements?
I'm talking PC specifically now.

I get your point but also remember that Metro 2033 has never been on a playstation platform before. Also these are more than just simple "HD Remakes" (more so in the case of 2033). They rebuilt the entire game in the latest engine and introduced a lot of new features from Last Light in 2033. This is how a remaster should be done. Go watch some youtube videos and see the difference between original 2033 and the Redux. It's like an entirely new game in some places.I think they are banking on the success of many recent "HD Remakes". Even Tomb Raider and The Last of Us received facelifts recently. Still, I believe that it's a bit too early for a Metro remake. The games aren't that old.
From what I understand they aren't just graphical improvements, but also improvements to AI and gameplay in general. Not sure if it is worth it though, I haven't played either of them anyway.
I still have the original Metro Last Light in my backlog. Been there since Steam Summer sale(Complete with all DLC's) and I haven't even downloaded it yet, let alone play.
So the question, should I still play it or just skip and go redux?. I had no problems with 2033, yes some points was a bit tough to get through but not so bad as to make me stop playing it.
