I think Microsoft is skipping the wrong version

Normally one good and one bad followed by good again, and Windows 7 was da bomb.....
 
technically the predecessor to Xp was ME, xp can be considered as the pretty more consumerised version of 2000
 
Windows 1 (1985) - OK
Windows 2 (1987) - Sucked
Windows 3 (1992) - Good
Windows 95 (1995) - Mixed bag
Windows 98 (1998) - Good
Windows ME (2000) - Sucked (hard)
Windows XP (2001) - Good
Windows Vista (2006) - Sucked
Windows 7 (2009) - Good
Windows 8 (2012) - Sucked but not as bad as ME or Vista
Windows 9 (????) - Suppose to be the good one
Windows 10........

Windows NT and 2000 where seen as corporate operating systems, excluded for this list.

Then again technically we still running Windows 6

windows 3.0 (1990) Sucked in all honesty Windows 3.1(1992) and WFG 3.11(1993/94) was waay Better

Never touched windows 1 or 2 so i cant give an opinion on that

The only reason it's not called Windows One is because there already was a Windows One (although not by that name as such).

“Windows 1 has been done” was mentioned at the event according to articles, so clearly they did consider it.

But yeah, on a serious note, I hope this Windows is the good one again. I have skipped every second windows so far. Had 98, XP and now 7. Was thinking of going to Windows 8.1, as the patch did fix a lot of the issues I had with 8. However, with 10 on the horizon, I'll just stick with Windows7 and hopefully 10 will be upgrade worthy.

Was introduced to Windows from 'Windows 95', only worked on (from) 'Windows XP'; and now with '7 Ultimate' as my current OS.
