Microsoft banhammers swathes of Xbox LIVE accounts

I hope some people are at least praising MS for this because when the Bans don't come soon enough there are outraged people. I'm all for a regulated controlled community so good going MS.
 
The secretiveness every time they ban people is enough to be suspicious. And you can't say if you don't like the terms don't use the service, because they provide no other means to get patches. Other than that I have no use for Live.
 
I admit I also have no use for Live, but if I were to use it I would not want to deal with hackers and cheats. Good on you Microsoft.
 
Losing access to all your paid content for a single infraction of cheating or using a dodgy code is not a proportional response. Sure hackers and the like are annoying but they must get banned from playing the game they cheated in NOT every game they own. It's like getting your house repossessed for running a red light.
 
I've seen a few people who've been banned who SAY they haven't done anything dodgy. One guy has a second-hand console though, so it could be that the guy he bought it from did some dodgyness, now he's been screwed

I just love it when stuff like this goes down.
Was contacted on XLive once by someone I suspected might be doing some dodgy stuff with codes and the like so when MS gets rid of these aholes I don't complain.
